The Achiever
Objective: To provide participants a thorough understanding of how to utilize the Achiever assessment in the selection and development of people to reach their highest potential levels of success and to achieve the employer’s objectives.
This eight-hour course will enlarge and enhance your understanding of people and human behavior beyond your expectations!
You’ll learn how this magical assessment, “The Achiever,” has survived for over 50 years in America and around the world – and about the role “The Achiever” has played in the growth and development of some of the world’s leading corporate business entities.
Sessions 1 & 2 (January 22nd & January 29th) Will provide participants with an understanding of the background of testing in America, what testing, benchmarking, legality and validity is all about and EEOC and OFCCP compliance.
Session 3 (February 5th) Will cover the Mental Aptitudes of the Achiever:
- Mental Acuity
- Business Terms
- Memory Recall
- Vocabulary
- Numerical Perception
- Mechanical Interest
Session 4 (February 12th) What causes behavior with a focus and understanding of:
- Drive, Energy – Nervous Tension
- Flexibility, Integrity, Character Strength
- Personal Organization – Natural vs. Learned
- Sociability – meeting and dealing with people
- Emotional Maturity – Ego
Session 5 (February 19th) Will cover additional personality dimensions (i.e.: behaviors) and validity
- Assertive behavior – Dominance
- Competitiveness – Team Player or Individual
- Mental Toughness
- Questioning/Probing – Cynicism
- Motivation – Security or Recognition
- Distortion and Equivocation – How honestly did they answer the assessment
Session 6 (February 26th)
- Correlations – How Mental Aptitudes and Behaviors relate to and affect each other and the resulting job related behavioral output
- Behavioral interviewing from the Achiever
Session 7 (March 4th):
- What differentiates an applicant from a job seeker in the EEOC and OFCCP’s eyes
- Utilization of technology for the total application process including obtaining and retaining data required for EEOC and OFCCP compliance.
Session 8 (March 11th):
- Identification of training and development needs and deployment of materials and supervision to develop a more effective, productive workforce.
This course will be presented by teleconference one hour per week for eight weeks at 11:00 am Central Time each Tuesday. Participants should not be concerned if they must miss a session(s) since each session will be recorded and will be available on the course web site within 24 hours after the session has been conducted.
Each session will include online materials for each participant to review and participants will be expected to complete a brief test at the end of each session. Participants will be advised after the self-test at the end of each session where the review and learning of additional materials may need to take place.
The scores from the tests at the end of each of the eight sessions are combined to compile a final course score.
Participants who achieve 80 points of a potential 100 points will receive a Certificate of Achievement in “Understanding and Deployment of the Achiever”.
The fee for this 8 one hour session course is $395.00 per participant and will be conducted by Milt Cotter, President of CRI, a highly knowledgeable HR Consultant for government and industry for more than 40 years.
